The former Cistercian monastery in Chorin is located in the middle of the UNESCO-protected Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve and is one of the most important monuments of the early brick Gothic in Brandenburg.

1272, the building was built as a house monastery of the Margraves of Brandenburg. On more than 90 km ² extended its agricultural property with mills, fish ponds and vineyards.
